We want you to feel comfortable and safe on your journey. We have introduced numerous protective measures onboard, as well as in cooperation with airport operators, and are continuing to implement many more. With your help, we can ensure that safe travel remains possible even during the coronavirus crisis.
Physical distance measures
In order to meet the requirements of "social distancing", we have placed distancing instructions at airports and optimised security check processes. Boarding and deboarding processes have also been modified for your safety.
Adaptation of onboard service
In order to maintain the required distancing, we are unfortunately not able to fulfil our role as hosts to the usual extent. For instance, we now provide water bottles on short trips, replacing the classic beverage service. Inflight shopping has been completely suspended for the time being.
Compulsory masks on board
It is not always possible to maintain the required minimum distance of 1.5 metres during a flight. As of May 4, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on all your travels with Lufthansa. This is in line with the official regulations of numerous countries that now require face masks to be worn in public. |
